ITBP Sports Quota Recruitment 2026: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Meritorious Sportspersons to the post of Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota-2025 (Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted and Non-Ministerial) at Pay Level 3. There are 126 vacancies (72 for men and 54 for women) across 28 sports disciplines.
Male and female Indian citizens (including subjects of Nepal and Bhutan) who have passed Matriculation (10th) with the required sports achievements and are aged 18 to 23 years are eligible to apply for these posts. Selection will be through physical standards test, sports trial, document verification, and medical examination. Eligibility Criteria:
Constable (General Duty) – Sports Quota
Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognised Board, along with the prescribed sports achievements in the concerned discipline as per the detailed advertisement. Open to male and female Indian citizens, including subjects of Nepal and Bhutan. These vacancies are not open to physically challenged persons or Ex-Servicemen.
Age Limit: 18 to 23 years. Upper age relaxation of up to 5 years (10 years for SC/ST) is allowed only to meritorious sportspersons who meet all other eligibility conditions and furnish the prescribed sports certificate.
Age Relaxation:
● Meritorious Sportspersons (General/ OBC/ EWS): Up to +5 years
● Meritorious Sportspersons (SC/ ST): Up to +10 years
● Relaxation applies only to candidates holding the certificate prescribed for appointment of Meritorious Sportspersons
Salary Details:
1. Constable (General Duty) – Sports Quota – Pay Level 3 (Rs. 21,700 – 69,100/-) as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
Selection Process
● Physical Standards Test (PST) – measurement of height, chest and weight as per ITBP standards
● Sports Trial / Proficiency Test – assessment of performance in the concerned sports discipline and event
● Document Verification – checking of educational, sports, caste and domicile certificates
● Detailed Medical Examination (DME) – medical fitness as per CAPF guidelines

● Others (Male candidates of UR/ OBC/ EWS) – Rs. 100/- (to be paid online through the ITBP recruitment website)
