Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit: 18-25 years (Crucial date for determining age limit is the last date of receipt of application)
  • Educational Qualification/Experience (Per Post):
    • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
      • Educational Qualification: 12th Class pass from a recognized Board.
      • Experience: Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on computer (corresponding to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on average of 5 key depressions for each word). (Time allowed 10 minutes).
    • Hindi Typist
      • Educational Qualification: 12th Class pass from a recognized Board.
      • Experience: Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on computer (corresponding to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on average of 5 key depressions for each word). (Time allowed 10 minutes).
    • Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)
      • Educational Qualification:10th Pass
      • Experience: Must be holding a valid Civil Driving License for light and heavy vehicles, must possess professional skill in driving and knowledge of motor mechanism, and a minimum of two years’ experience in driving motor vehicles.
  • Age Relaxation:
    • OBC: 3 years
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • PwBD (Physically Handicapped): 10 years
    • PwBD (SC, ST): Additional 5 years
    • PwBD (OBC): Additional 3 years
    • Ex-servicemen: Deduction of full period of service (if resultant age does not exceed maximum age by more than three years)
    • Departmental Employees: 40 years for UR, 45 years for SC/ST

Salary Details:

  • Pay Scale: Level-2, as per Pay Matrix 7th CPC for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Hindi Typist, and Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade).

Selection Process

The Selection process will be based on minimum education qualification and will be as follows:

  • All applications will be scrutinized in terms of age limit, minimum qualification, documents, and certificates.
  • Eligible candidates will be issued call letters for a written test.
  • The requisite number of candidates will be shortlisted and called for skill/physical/practical test (where applicable) based on merit/category in the written test.
  • The written test will have 100% weightage, and the skill/practical/physical test will be qualifying only.

Apply Procedure:

  • Eligible candidates can apply to any of the Air Force Stations of their choice, subject to the vacancies and qualifications.
  • The application must be as per the format at Annexure-I (Proforma for Application).
  • The application, duly supported with self-attested copies of all required documents (Educational Qualification, Age, Caste, Technical Qualification, Experience, etc.), must reach the concerned Air Force Station.
  • The application form must be duly typed in English/Hindi with a recent photograph (passport size) duly self-attested.
  • A self-addressed envelope with Rs. 10/- stamp(s) pasted must be included.
  • Separate application for each post should be forwarded.
  • Applicants must clearly mention on the envelope: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______ AND CATEGORY ______”.
