The objective multiple-choice test checks trade-specific operational knowledge. There is no negative marking. Normalization scores will be implemented if tests run over multiple shifts.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Screening of height, chest, and weight. Rejection slips are issued to non-qualifying direct entries.
- Documentation Verification: Strict checking of academic transcripts, age proofs, and central certificates against original documents.
- Basic Vocational Aptitude Test (BVAT): A practical check to analyze technical trade suitability. This round is purely qualifying in nature.
- Medical Examination (DME / RME): Assessment under official uniform guidelines. Candidates are declared either Fit or Unfit. Those found unfit can file a Review Medical Examination (RME) consent form within 24 hours.
