Note: All 152 posts are purely on a contractual basis for 11 months. There is no provision for transfer at any stage of service.
Eligibility Criteria:
Here is what you need to qualify for each post. Read the requirements carefully — especially the age limits and specific course requirements — before you apply.
- Medical Officer — UHWC (Post 01): An MBBS degree from a university or institution recognised by the UGC is required. The course must be approved by the Medical Council of India or NMC. Candidates must also be registered with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council.
- Health Inspector Gr II — UHWC & MTM (Posts 02 & 05): You must have passed Class 12 (Plus Two) with Biology or Botany and Zoology. Tamil Language as a subject at SSLC level is compulsory. Additionally, you need a 2-year training certificate in Multipurpose Health Worker (Male) / Sanitary Inspector / Health Inspector course from a recognised institution or one that is DPH-approved — including Gandhigram Rural Institute.
- Staff Nurse — UHWC (Post 03): A Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM) or a B.Sc. in Nursing from an institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) is required.
- ULB-UHN / ANM (Post 04): Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC / Class 12) and completed a 2-year ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) course from a DPH-approved institution.
- Mid Level Health Provider — MLHP (Post 06): A Diploma in GNM or a B.Sc. in Nursing from a Government or Government-approved private nursing college recognised by the Indian Nursing Council is required.
- Data Manager — IDSP (Post 07): A Post Graduate degree in Computer Science with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a B.E. in IT or Electronics.
- Programme cum Administrative Assistant (Post 08): Any recognised Graduate Degree with fluency in MS Office. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in office management or Health Programme / NRHM-related work. Knowledge of accountancy and good drafting skills are also required.
- Cleaner, Multipurposex Hospital Worker, Sanitary Worker, Security Guard (Posts 09, 10, 14 & 15): 8th pass and have ability to read and write in Tamil.
- Dental Technician — DEIC (Post 11): Diploma in Dental Technology with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification work experience.
- Optometrist — DEIC (Post 12): Bachelor of Optometry from a recognised institution.
- Occupational Therapist — DEIC (Post 13): A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised university.
Age Limit:
Age will be calculated as on the last date of application — 15 June 2026. Make sure you fall within the age bracket for your chosen post before applying.
- Below 40 Years: Medical Officer (Post 01), Data Manager (Post 07).
- Below 45 Years: Programme cum Administrative Assistant (Post 08).
- Below 50 Years: Staff Nurse (Post 03), Health Inspector Gr II MTM (Post 05), Mid Level Health Provider (Post 06).
- Below 35 Years: ULB-UHN (Post 04), Cleaner (Post 09), Multipurpose Hospital Worker (Post 10), Dental Technician (Post 11), Optometrist (Post 12), Sanitary Worker (Post 14), Security Guard (Post 15), Health Inspector Gr II UHWC (Post 02).
- Below 40 Years: Occupational Therapist (Post 13).
Important Conditions:
- All posts are purely temporary and contractual for a period of 11 months. No regularisation or permanent appointment is implied.
- There is no provision for transfer to another location at any point during the contract period.
- On joining, selected candidates must submit a self-undertaking letter and sign the 11-month contract agreement.
