Essential Educational Qualification

Selection Process – IISc Administrative Assistant 2026
The selection process for the post of Administrative Assistant is entirely based on a Job-Oriented Aptitude Test (JOAT) carrying 100% weightage. Key details of the selection process are:
- Mode: Written test (Job-Oriented Aptitude Test) — online/offline as decided by IISc.
- Tentative Exam Date: 5th July 2026.
- In case examinations are conducted in multiple sessions, the scores may be normalized as per standard norms before finalizing the merit list.
- The Institute will set the minimum qualifying marks for the JOAT at its discretion. Only candidates who score above the set benchmark will be considered for further stages.
- Call letters for the aptitude test will be sent ONLY to eligible candidates via email. Candidates must regularly check their registered email ID.
- Candidates must appear for the test at their own cost. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the JOAT.
- Three test centres can be chosen by the candidate from the designated list in the online application. However, IISc reserves the right to allot any centre at its discretion. No requests for change of centre will be entertained.
