Selection Process
• Preliminary Examination (Single Paper – Objective/OMR)
• Main Examination
• Certificate Verification / Counselling and selection as applicable
Preliminary Exam: 200 questions, 300 marks, 3 hours. General Studies – 75 questions; Aptitude & Mental Ability – 25 questions; General Tamil or General English – 100 questions. Minimum qualifying marks: 90.
Main Examination: Group II and Group IIA have separate main-examination schemes as detailed in the notification.
Application Fee:
• Preliminary Examination Fee: Rs.100/-
• Main Examination Fee: Rs.150/- for candidates who have not claimed fee exemption and are shortlisted for Group II or Group IIA; Rs.300/- if shortlisted for both Group II and Group IIA.
• Eligible candidates can claim examination fee exemption as per the notification.
Apply Procedure:
Candidates should apply only through online mode at www.tnpscexams.in. One Time Registration (OTR) is required before submitting the online application. The notification states that OTR registration costs Rs.150/- and is valid for five years. Applications for this recruitment can be submitted from 11.08.2026 to 09.09.2026.
