Note: For PAT 1-02, PAT 1-03, PAT 1-07, PAT 1-08 positions, the higher stipend of ₹31,000 + HRA applies to candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR/NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship), GATE, or national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments such as DBT/DST or their equivalent agencies. All others receive ₹25,000 + HRA.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 08.06.2026):
- Principal Project Associate (PPA-01) & Senior Project Associate (SPA-01, SPA-02): Maximum 40 years.
- Project Associate – II (PAT 2-01) & Project Associate – I (PAT 1-01 to PAT 1-08) & Project Assistant – II (PA 2-01 to PA 2-06): Maximum 35 years.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates: 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.
- OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation in upper age limit.
Important Eligibility Note: As per CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024, candidates who have already completed a total tenure of 6 years as Project Staff across any CSIR Lab/Institute are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.

- Eligible candidates must apply ONLINE ONLY through the official CSIR-CECRI website (https://www.cecri.res.in/). The online application link will be active from 30.05.2026 (10:00 AM) to 08.06.2026 (5:00 PM).
- Candidates registering for the first time must click ‘New Registration’ and register using a valid email ID. Returning users may use existing login credentials.
- After logging in, create a complete profile, fill in all required details, and upload necessary documents (caste certificate, educational qualifications, experience certificates, etc.).
- Carefully verify all entries before final submission — no modifications can be made once the application is submitted.
- In the absence of a Degree Certificate, a Provisional Certificate along with mark sheets will be accepted.
- Candidates claiming equivalence of qualifications must produce the relevant authority order/letter with number and date; otherwise the application will be rejected.
- Incomplete or document-deficient applications will be summarily rejected.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the CSIR-CECRI website. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
