Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad / IITH), an Institute of National Importance established under the Government of India’s Ministry of Education, has released a comprehensive recruitment notification for Non-Teaching Positions under Advertisement No. NF/20 dated 21 May 2026. The institute invites ONLINE applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up 21 regular vacancies across Group B and Group C posts through direct recruitment. These are permanent government positions with 7th CPC pay levels, offering long-term career stability at one of India’s premier technical institutions located in Kandi, Sangareddy, Telangana.
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (minimum 60% marks / First Class) from a recognised University/Institution.
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in CPWD/State PWD, Centrally funded institutions, PSUs, Statutory/Autonomous organisations, or reputed national/international private firms.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and latest Construction Management software.
B.E./B.Tech/equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (minimum 60% marks) from a recognised University.
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in Central/State Government organisations, PSUs, PWD, Engineering departments, or reputed private firms of national/international repute.
Experience should include at least 2 areas: Electrical power distribution, substation erection, electrification works, HVAC maintenance, SCADA/BMS automation, or street light maintenance.
Criteria 1: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline + B.P.Ed./Sports Science + 3 years’ coaching experience in Cricket/Tennis/Squash/Weightlifting + National/State-level participation or medal.
Criteria 2: Master’s degree (full-time) in Physical Education/Sports Science + 1 year coaching experience + National/State-level participation.
Criteria 3: Bachelor’s degree + B.P.Ed. + Diploma from SAI NS-NIS Patiala or recognised university + 1 year coaching experience + National/State-level participation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Finance from a recognised University/Institution. Higher qualifications (M.Com/MBA Finance/CA/ICWA) are also considered.
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, auditing, or financial management in Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, PSUs, or reputed private organisations.
AI (20.5.1): B.E./B.Tech in AI/CSE/EE/ECE/IT with 55% marks + 2 years’ experience in Linux system administration.
Biomedical Engineering (20.5.2): Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Biology/Pharmacy (60%) OR Bachelor’s degree with 1 year relevant lab experience.
Central Workshop (20.5.3): Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Mechatronics (60%) + 3 years’ CNC machine operation experience OR ITI in relevant trade + 6 years’ CNC experience.
Chemical Engineering (20.5.4): B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering (60%) OR 3-year Diploma + 2 years’ relevant experience.
Civil Engineering (20.5.5): B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering + 1 year lab experience OR First Class Diploma in Civil Engineering + 3 years’ experience.
Computer Science & Engineering (20.5.6): B.Tech/BE/MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT/Electronics (60%) + 2 years’ experience as System Engineer.
Electrical Engineering (20.5.7): B.Tech/BE in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering (60%) OR Diploma + 2 years’ experience in systems & control/instrumentation.
Materials Science & Metallurgical Engineering (20.5.8): 3-year Diploma or above in Metallurgical/Materials/Mechanical Engineering (60%) + 3 years’ relevant experience in furnace operation, metallography, and material testing.
Mathematics (20.5.9): B.Sc. (Computer Science)/BCA with 60% + 2 years’ experience in computer hardware and OS OR B.E./B.Tech in AI/CSE/IT + 1 year experience.
Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (20.5.10): B.Tech/BE in Electrical/Instrumentation/ECE/Mechatronics/Robotics (60%) + 2 years’ experience in electronic/robotic/automation systems.
Physics (20.5.11): B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT/Electronics with minimum 60% marks.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages. Stage I involves submission of the online application. Stage II comprises a Preliminary Written Test (screening) and/or a Skill Test/Trade Test (qualifying in nature). Stage III is the Final Written Test on which merit-based final selection is made, followed by Document Verification.
Preliminary Written Test: Screening stage — conducted depending on the number of applications received.
Skill Test / Trade Test: Qualifying in nature. Only candidates who pass this stage appear for the Final Written Test.
Final Written Test: Determines merit for final selection. Document verification follows for shortlisted candidates.
No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the trade test, skill test, written test, or proficiency test.
