Terms of Service and Pay
- Service: Selected candidates will be granted a Short Service Commission initially for 10 years, extendable by a maximum of 4 years in two terms (2 years + 2 years), subject to service requirement, performance, medical eligibility, and willingness of the officer.
- Remuneration: The basic pay of Sub Lieutenant starts from Rs. 56,100/- along with other admissible allowances.
Eligibility Conditions:
- Educational Qualifications
- A candidate must have a minimum of 60% marks in English in class X or XII.
- A candidate must have one of the undermentioned educational qualifications with a minimum 60% overall qualifying marks, in either or a combination of the following:
- MSc/BE/B Tech / M Tech (Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Software Systems / Cyber Security / System Administration & Networking / Computer Systems & Networking / Data Analytics / Artificial Intelligence).
- OR MCA with BCA / BSc (Computer Science / Information Technology).
- Age Limit: Must be born between 01 Jan 2002 to 01 Jul 2007 (Both Dates inclusive).
- NCC Candidates: NCC ‘C’ certificate holders will receive a 5% relaxation in cut-off marks for SSB shortlisting, provided they meet specific criteria (minimum ‘B’ Grade, served for at least two academic years, and ‘C’ certificate is not dated prior to 01 Jan 2024).
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure involves shortlisting based on normalized marks in the qualifying degree, followed by a Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
- For BE/B Tech candidates, marks obtained up to the fifth semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.
- For Post-Graduate Degree Programmes (MSc/MCA/M Tech), marks obtained in all semesters will be considered; for final year students, marks obtained till the pre-final year will be considered.
- The merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks.
