Eligibility Criteria:
- Tradesman –
Educational Qualification: I.T.I Certificate in Mechanic/Diesel/Fitter/Turner/Welder/Electrician/Instrumental/Carpentary, and X class pass or equivalent. Desirable experience in FRP Lamination and repair work, and First aid/ Fire Fighting/Industrial Safety Course.
Age Limit: Not more than 25 years (Relaxable for Govt. servants by 5 years in accordance with the instructions or order issued by the Central Government)
- Seaman –
Educational Qualification: X class pass or equivalent, and Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel with two years in helmsman and seamanship work. Desirable Certificate of competency as “mate of fishing vessel issued by Marine Mercantile Department.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (relaxable in accordance with the instructions or order issued by the Central Government)
- Greaser –
Educational Qualification: X class pass or equivalent, and Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance. Desirable Certificate of competency as “Engine Driver of fishing vessel” issued by Marine Mercantile Department.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (relaxable in accordance with the instructions or order issued by the Central Government)
Age Relaxation:
- Govt. servants: +5 years
- Candidates seeking consideration against reserved vacancies or age-relaxation must submit the requisite certificate from the competent authority.
Salary Details:
- Tradesman: Level-2 in the Pay Matrix (Rs.19,900- 63200) of 7th CPC
- Seaman: Level-1 in the Pay Matrix (Rs.18,000- 56,900) of 7th CPC
- Greaser: Level-1 in the Pay Matrix (Rs.18,000- 56,900) of 7th CPC
Selection Process
- Written examination
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) (Swimming) as the case may be
- Subject to medical fitness
