Important Dates and Fees

  • Last Date for Application: 13th April 2026
  • Application Fee: Rs. 1,000/= (Rupees One thousand only) via online transfer.
  • Course Fee: Rs. 30,000/= (Rupees Thirty thousand only) per year.
  • Commencement of Program: Will be intimated by ICMR-NIE to selected candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a degree with:

  • Statistics / Mathematics as a major subject, OR
  • Statistics as an ancillary/allied subject, OR
  • An additional diploma in Statistics / Health Statistics accepted by the Syndicate of Periyar University.
  • Candidates appearing for their final semester examination in 2026 may also apply, but must submit the provisional certificate before joining the programme.

Admission Procedure (Method of Selection)

Selection and admission will be based on the following:

  • Review of the application form
  • Written test
  • Interview

Final selection is based on marks obtained in the qualifying degree (Core/Allied/Ancillary Subjects) and performance in the written test and interview. Financial Assistance
